Terms & Conditions

These Terms of Service govern all plumbing and heating fitting bookings made with Friars Plumbcraft. By confirming an appointment with our team, you agree to the conditions set out below.

1. Parties and Scope

These terms form a binding contract between Friars Plumbcraft, operated from 16 White Friars, Chester, CH1 1PT, and the customer commissioning the plumbing service. Our services encompass domestic and light commercial plumbing fitting, repair, leak diagnostics, and heating component maintenance. We do not operate an online shopping cart or supply goods via postal delivery; our work is performed directly on the customer's premises.

2. Booking and Quotes

Appointments may be requested via our web contact forms or by telephone. Any preliminary estimate provided prior to viewing the job is subject to on-site verification of pipe accessibility and the condition of existing plumbing. A formal quote is provided before practical physical work begins, and work starts only upon your verbal or written agreement.

3. Performance of the Work and Access to the Premises

The customer must grant our technicians safe and unobstructed access to the work area, main stopcocks, and heating controls at the agreed time. If our team cannot gain access within twenty minutes of the appointment slot, we reserve the right to reschedule the visit. Our engineers will take reasonable care to keep work areas clean, using dust sheets and floor runners where appropriate.

4. Prices, Payment After Completion and Invoices

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. Payment must be made immediately upon satisfactory completion of the work. We accept cash on completion or a direct electronic bank transfer against the invoice provided. We do not accept card payments, card terminals, or payment links. Invoices detail the work carried out, the replacement fittings supplied, and our payment terms.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Customers may reschedule or cancel a booking without penalty up to twenty-four hours before the scheduled start time. Late cancellations where our van is already en route may incur a travel charge of thirty pounds. If we need to reschedule due to an unexpected technician emergency or severe weather in the Chester area, we will inform you as early as possible to offer the earliest alternate slot.

6. Liability, Insurance and Complaints

Friars Plumbcraft holds valid public liability insurance covering property damage caused by our direct negligence up to two million pounds. We are not liable for pre-existing corrosion, perished pipework, or brittle ceramic sanitaryware that breaks during standard manipulation. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our fitting work, you must notify us within seven days so we can inspect and rectify the issue.

7. Governing Law

These terms of service and any agreements between Friars Plumbcraft and the customer are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales in the event of any legal dispute.
